HAIS Headlines – Week 34

We are Ready!

“The day is finally here, it’s time to go back to school!

The Kindy Team have been busy preparing our classrooms and play areas for the return of the children on Monday. We have missed them so much over this period and can only imagine how much they have grown!

We understand that transitioning back to school during this time might be a little scary for the little ones, which is totally understandable. Here are some photos of the Kindy staff wearing their masks so the little ones know what to expect on Monday morning.

We can’t wait to see you all!”

Students Teaching Students

“As you may be aware, last Wednesday was World Earth Day. The students in Grades 3 and 4 International, focused on how the environment has drastically changed over the past 3 months. They looked at before and after photos of cities covered in thick and heavy smog. The children could not believe the difference that approximately 2 months has made to the Earth. The conversation was fantastic as they each discussed the benefits of the world slowing down and allowing the Earth to breathe again, enabling creatures in the wild to explore more freely.

To conclude our day of intriguing and insightful conversations, each student was given the task of creating a short video targeted at Kindy- Grade 2 students, teaching them how to contribute positively to the world. The videos are absolutely excellent and I look forward to sharing them with other classes when we return to school.

We are so excited to be able to invite our students back on campus. Looking forward to seeing you all and wishing you a wonderful weekend.”

All Excited To Welcome Our Students Back

“We are all really excited in secondary to welcome our students back to school. Everyone; teachers and students alike, have been fantastically adaptable, patient and enthusiastic during this extended period of home learning, but the return to school is what we have all been hoping for.

The pressure will now be on to ensure every student is where they need to be in terms of subject progress and then completion of End of Year testing in June. So it is important that we have a fast start and pick-up where we left off.  Prior to Tet when the students were last with us in school, the lessons were fast paced and the students were fully engaged in their learning journey. I have no doubt that we will restart in the same vein and we will have a really positive and fun end to an unusual school year.”

Bring On A Happy Lunch!

“I hope you are enjoying a wonderful time with your families and friends. This is the time that all of us can be relaxed and ready to go back to school on Monday!

After such a long time of distancing, all I want to say is that I have missed each and everyone in our HAIS family so much. As such, I am very delighted to be able to go back in our kitchen and prepare meals for our students and staff again from next Monday.

I would like to take this opportunity to share with you our menu for the first week of reopening. I am sure that we are all going to have great lunch time together on Monday.

I am looking forward to seeing you guys again at our green gate.”

Community Support Plan Further Extended

“Since the Community Support Programmes have been introduced with the aim of supporting our community through the Covid-19 crisis, our Admissions Team has received many early-re enrollments from our HAIS families. We would like to extend our sincere thank-you for your commitment to our school.

A reminder, that early re-enrollments will receive an additional 10% tuition fee discount, beside the community support of 20%, extended to all families. We are happy to extend this due date of “early-bird” discount to the 31st of May.

Our scholarship programme has been attracting a lot of interest from the broader community. However, due to the previous extension of the Covid-19 lockdown in the past 3 weeks, we also would like to extend the application deadline from the 1st of May to the 9th of May. The test date and the interview date will be changed to the 15th of May and the 22nd of May, respectively.

For any families who have not responded yet to the email and support plan that we sent on 17th April with the subject “HAIS COMMUNITY SUPPORT PLAN”, please kindly have a look at it and submit your response to the form. Our admissions team is ready to assist you at admissions@hais.edu.vn or at 02356 518 518.

Thank you so much for your support and we wish you a happy and safe public holiday ahead!”
