Our arts programme includes playing musical instruments, singing, dancing, drawing, painting, sculpting and public speaking.
Students explore a full range of activities to discover their unique — potentially hidden — talents and strengths. A student may not be a great artist in the making, but may be able to speak to an audience with passion, charisma and ease, or dance with flair and grace.
At HAIS, we want every young learner to have the opportunity to discover the artistic strength that lies within them.
A healthy mind requires a healthy, active body. At HAIS, our teachers help guide students to form a balance between mind and body.
Each week, an afternoon is dedicated solely to students engaging in different sports and learning key, age-appropriate exercise skills. Students participate in both team and individual sports, play games and have fun, while building and maintaining a healthy body.
During this time, instructors focus on the ideals of teamwork, cooperative play and being considerate towards others. As students athletic abilities differ, we find it is an excellent time to focus on being an aware, mindful global citizen.
Students are supervised by teaching staff at all times and we have a zero-tolerance policy on bullying or malicious behavior.
Committed to developing students as global citizens, we believe it is imperative for students to learn to appreciate where and how they live, how others live, and the impact it has on the environment. Living in the picturesque coastal town of Hoi An, this is even more relevant for our staff and students.
Each week, students will spend one afternoon either growing fruit or vegetables for the canteen, preparing the ground for planting, constructing planter boxes, or visiting off-site locations to see how rice, fruit trees and other produce are grown locally.
