The events we organise include three major themes:
Environmental: One of our core values is to raise environmental awareness in our students and the community at large. We regularly go out to clean the beaches and riverside, with many of our parents and families joining in to help. Everyone is welcome. Where possible, we also try to recycle or reuse the trash we pick up for a variety of projects on campus.
Philanthropic: Wherever possible, we try to incorporate philanthropy into the events organized by HAIS. Whether it’s raising funds for the needy, by selling old and unused items or hosting an auction, we’d love you to come along and help out, or simply come and join the events to contribute to some worthy causes.
Cultural: Many of our events are specific to particular cultures and are organised by/for our teachers and school families. These events offer our HAIS community the opportunity to keep up traditions when they are far away from home, as well as to socialise, make new friends, and share cultures. This year we held our first annual United Nations Week which included a food festival and a Parade of Nations. It was an outstanding event enjoyed by all. We also hosted a Truly Traditional Tet, featuring the food and customs of our beautiful host nation. It was a wonderful way for those new to Vietnam to be immersed in such an important holiday and for our Vietnamese staff to share family traditions with their colleagues.
We hope to see you at one of our events soon!
