Anh Linh Tong
Digital Marketing Specialist
Bachelor of Multimedia & Design – RMIT
My name is Anh Linh and I am a creative and visionary video director. Since 2013, I have directed various productions, including short films, commercials, music videos, stage plays, concert videography, and documentaries.
I write, produce, direct, and edit most of my works, and consider myself an all-round creative. I take pride in my unique artistic taste and intuition as a storyteller. I have won multiple accolades, including 2nd Best Film and Best Direction at 48Hours Film Projects, among others.
I have produced videos for many well-known brands, such as Canon, P/S, Sumikura, Tigerhead, and RMIT.
When the pandemic hit, coinciding with my decision to start a family, my focus shifted, and I ventured into other fields, such as sewing and embroidery, while also creating content on social media platforms.
I firmly believe that with hard work and determination, nothing is out of reach, even the delicate balance between work and family life.

Masters in Professional Communications (WA Screen Academy & WAAPA); Bachelor of Arts (Journalism and Film & Television from Curtin University); CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults); Certificate V in Broadcasting.
I came to HAIS wearing two hats – one as a parent, and the other as Marketing Director. From both perspectives, I see the school as offering a diverse, just and egalitarian community that provides positive outcomes for children from all walks of life.
Championing the achievements of HAIS and developing the school’s brand equity is an exciting role to which I bring empathy, creativity, fun and an impatient optimism (as well as 20 years of industry experience).
I come from a background of Film and Television production. I studied a Masters in Producing and Production Design at the Screen Academy at Edith Cowan University in Western Australia where I recieved the University Excellence Award for my year group and was nominated for Best Production Designer in the WA Screen Awards for the short film that I worked on in my final year. I went on to work in TV and Film, cutting my teeth as an Assistant Producer at the long running serial drama Neighbours in Australia.
After having my children, Gus and Harriet, I moved into the digital space, producing projects in web and app development and marketing campaigns for brands including the Australian Football League, Cadbury, Penguin Publishing, and the ABC.
My most recent work before HAIS was connected to the tourism sector where I edited a regional tourism magazine (Mumbrella Travel Publication Finalist in 2019 and Highly Commended in 2022), and produced an online documentary series in 2017, The Kununurra Kid, which was a finalist in the Australian Screen Producer’s Awards for Best Factual Online Series
My film background has guided a less-traditional approach to marketing, and I have developed a more story-centred style, where building a community that cares about the brand’s values is priority.
I have always been a strong advocate of the education sector. Whilst studying my Bachelor’s Degree, I worked as a Research Officer for the Western Australian Minister for Education and recently interviewed human rights lawyer Jennifer Robinson about her public school upbringing for a documentary series for Production Company GoodChatTV.
I believe that everyone deserves a quality education, and this is key to progress as a society.
