Since 2020, HAIS has provided scholarships to encourage, support, and nurture talented students. We are delighted to continue this meaningful programme for the upcoming academic year 2025-2026.
For the 2025-2026 Academic Year, HAIS is pleased to offer a limited number of Academic, Athletic and Arts scholarships. Academic scholarships are offered to students entering Years 7 -12. Athletic and Arts scholarships are offered to students entering Years 3-12. The awards will be determined based on exemplary performance in the scholarship test or demonstration of talent, followed by an interview with the HAIS Leadership Team.
This scholarship opportunity is open to HAIS and external students in other schools.
REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for and retain a scholarship, students must successfully:
- Complete the scholarship application process, including the testing/demonstrations of talent and interview;
- Display exemplary academic and behavioural excellence through academic studies, leadership, community involvement, and extracurricular activities;
- Demonstrate initiative, drive, and dedication in all school-related involvement and
- Represent HAIS at the highest standards.
A LEVEL SCHOLARSHIP
Students achieving 8 A* grades in their IGCSE examinations are eligible for a 40% tuition reduction for HAIS’s 2025-2026 A Level Programme.
RE-APPLYING PROCESS FOR CURRENT SCHOLARS
All current scholarship recipients must reapply, following a process similar to that of new applicants. They will need to submit details of their achievements and school involvement from this year.
Once applications are received, we will also gather feedback from their current teachers, which will be considered as part of the selection process.
The cost to participate in the scholarship application process is 3,000,000 VND. This application fee is an administrative fee and non-refundable. The deadline to apply is March 28, 2025. Extension of this deadline is not possible.

All students applying for a HAIS scholarship must complete a scholarship test (for the Academic Scholarship) or a demonstration of talent (for the Arts and Athletic scholarships) administered by the Vice Principal(s), Head of Sports, Learning Leads or Specialist teachers.
Scholarship Testing Dates for entry in 2025-2026 will be in the second week of April and will be announced to applicants individually.
** Please be advised there will be no make-up test for those unable to attend testing on the given day.
Academic Scholarship testing will include an adaptive online test structured to assess English language proficiency and mathematical reasoning proficiency. In addition to the online assessment, candidates will participate in an essay written exam. This component evaluates candidates’ ability to articulate their thoughts clearly, coherently, and persuasively.
The Arts scholarship: Applicants for The Arts Scholarship are to present a portfolio showcasing their talents in The Arts. This may be in the form of Art, Music or Drama. Students should prepare several performances or pieces of artworks, and a written statement explaining their passion for the Arts. They should demonstrate how they have participated in events inside and outside of school, including, but not limited to, performances, competitions, external examinations etc. Students should also prepare copies of recent certificates, if any. Students should be ready to discuss the statement and their interests/ pursuits during the interview, as well as how they plan to contribute to HAIS’s Arts department should they succeed.
Athletic scholarship applicants are to demonstrate their athletic ability in several sports exercises, including but not limited to:
- Swimming: 50m breaststroke, 50m backstroke, 50m freestyle, 200m freestyle
- Football: drills and game
- Basketball: drills and game
- Volleyball: drills and game
- Badminton: drills and game
- Athletics: 60m sprint and beep test
N.B. Students with extraordinary abilities in one sporting area are encouraged to note this in their application.
Students should bring the following items:
- Athletic wear: shoes, shorts, and shirt
- Swimming gear: swim trunks, swim cap, goggles and a towel
- Water Bottle
Additional Athletic Equipment (OPTIONAL): badminton racket, soccer shoes, basketball shoes
Please note that applicants will receive an email a few days before testing. The email will contain information about start and finish times, what to bring, and how to prepare.
Based on the submitted cover letter, demonstration of talent, and assessment results, the top-achieving students will be invited to join the HAIS leadership team for a final interview. Parents may also be asked to meet with a member of the Leadership Team for a follow-up interview.
Scholarships will be awarded to successful applicants on or around Friday, May 9, 2025. The school’s decision is final and not open to review.
