What’s On February – April
After returning from Tet break and diving head first into International Week and Mother Language Day, we still have a raft of events lined up and some adjustments to the calendar. So take a read and mark the calendars. February 29th: Cross Country Get those running shoes at the ready, as we prepare for the annual HAIS Cross Country. Periods 1 and 2 will be for Primary students (Year 2 and up) and periods 3 and 4 for Secondary. Students will travel by bus to Tan An lake and the race will run various lengths of the perimeter. March 1st: Science Fair The HAIS Science Fair celebrates the wonder and creativity of science. There is arguably as much imagination in the invention of scientific breakthroughs as there is engineering, and this is a day of discovery. By empowering our children in science, we can unlock untapped potential, drive sustainable development, and pave the way for a brighter, more equitable future for all children. Always a wonderful day of learning. March 8th: International Women’s Day International Women’s Day serves as a poignant reminder of the imperative to foster gender equality in a world where many women and girls continue to face systemic barriers to pursuing career opportunities. Fortunately, Vietnam is among the world’s top 1

March 8th: International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day serves as a poignant reminder of the imperative to foster gender equality in a world where many women and girls continue to face systemic barriers to pursuing career opportunities. Fortunately, Vietnam is among the world’s top 15 countries with the highest rate of working females and we have many fantastic female role models at HAIS as well as well-deserving students to celebrate on this day.
March 14th and 15th: Athletic’s Carnival
Due to inclement weather, the Athletic’s Carnival had to be rescheduled from January to March. It will now take place on March 14th and 15th. Secondary students will compete on Thursday morning, while Primary students will have their events on Friday morning. The entire school will participate on Friday afternoon.
Parents are encouraged to buy a House t-shirt and come along to cheer on their children.

March 16th: Spring Fair (Cancelled and will now do FUN’d Fair on April 13th)
Our Spring Fair is an incredible event, but due to the rescheduling of the Athletic’s Carnival and the addition of the HAIS Gala Dinner to our fundraising activities this academic year, we necessitated adjustments to the event calendar and will now hold a FUN’d Fair at Barefoot Beach Club on April 13th. Those who already signed up as vendors to the Spring Fair will be contacted and can still take part in the FUN’d Fair in April.
March 30th – April 7th: Spring Break
A week of rest and a chance for families to visit and reconnect with loved ones at this time.

April 8th: First Day of Term 3
Students will be welcomed back to what is one of the most momentous terms of the year with the Swimming Carnival, Exams, and of course secondary ‘Week Without Walls’ camps and our end-of-year summer concert.
April 13th: FUN’d Fair
Putting the ‘Fun’ into funding, we’ll hold a Saturday event at Barefoot Beach Club to include a FUN’d Run followed by activities and music on the lawn. Money raised will go to the Hearing and Beyond Foundation in Hoi An.
