Mathematics is not a gift reserved for a lucky few. It is a skill, much like learning a language or playing an instrument, that anyone can develop with understanding, practice and a healthy dose of curiosity. When students learn to break problems into clear steps and ask the right questions, they build universal strengths in logical and evidence based thinking that serve them well in any pathway they choose. It is also deeply satisfying to outsmart a tricky equation.

My background as an aerospace engineer brings a practical and straightforward dimension to the way I teach Mathematics. Working in an industry where precision and creativity must work together taught me how to turn abstract ideas into meaningful and relevant real world applications. Mathematics sits quietly behind almost every modern career, and this perspective has helped many of my students pursue ambitious academic routes at some of the world’s most respected universities.
Mentoring young people has been one of the most rewarding parts of my professional journey. With the right guidance, encouragement and the occasional laugh, students develop resilience, confidence and the belief that they are capable of far more than they ever imagined. My aim is to create a classroom where every learner feels supported, challenged and inspired to grow, and where mistakes are understood to be necessary steps in genuine learning rather than reasons to lose confidence.
IGCSE and A Level Mathematics offer an excellent foundation for logical reasoning, analytical thinking and intellectual independence. At IGCSE, students develop essential skills in algebra, geometry, statistics and core problem solving, learning to recognise patterns, think critically and make sense of the world around them. A Level Mathematics builds on this foundation and provides greater depth in algebra, calculus, mechanics and statistics. The increased challenge can feel demanding, but it is often at this stage that students begin to appreciate the elegance of the subject and understand why Mathematics is so influential across so many disciplines.

With extensive international teaching experience and strong subject mastery, I work to spark curiosity, awe and genuine enjoyment in my students. Many achieve exceptional results in IGCSE and A Level Mathematics, including Further Mathematics. My fourteen years of experience as an examiner also allow me to give students a clear understanding of curriculum expectations and effective assessment strategies, helping them perform at their best when it matters most.

With the right mindset and the right support, Mathematics becomes more than a school subject. It becomes a way of thinking that empowers students academically, personally and professionally. My mission is to help every learner discover that confidence and understand just how far their potential can take them.
Your child has one opportunity to build the foundations for their future. I would be delighted to discuss how my experience and approach can support your vision for your child’s growth and development.
